"Music is a spiritual expression of what's in your heart. Music as a way of getting rich is a pretty new thing, and I often wonder if the mega-bucks glitzy atmosphere is making the quality of music suffer. You have to work really hard to get around that and remember why you're in it in the first place: because you have to be. It's like an addiction. You can't go a day without picking up your guitar. To me, the only commercial goals that are really valid are, 'Boy, I wish I didn't have to go to work. I wish I could do this all the time."

Disco Biscuits, Fox Theater Boulder

posted 7:42 AM by the joker

The show was great last night. I drove up to Boulder and saw some old friends & then went to the show. Here is the setlist:

07/13/07 Fox Theatre, Boulder, CO
Set I: House Dog Party Favor(1), Spy, Songs of Joy> Mr. Don
Set II: Crystal Ball> Aceetobee> Pilin' It High(2)> Aceetobee> Crystal Ball, Spraypaint> Lunar Pursuit> Spraypaint
Encore: Morph Dusseldorf

1 preceded by "King of the World" fake-out
2 Perfume version

I am not familiar with tDB songs, so its a little hard for me to review the show other than to say that I thought for a 3 song first set (meaning they jammed a lot) tDB defintley had some great flowing grooves in there. The lights were fantastic and overall I think I would like to listen to the show again. Seems like there were a lot of kids from the East coast that had traveled to Boulder for the show & the Trancegression weekend.
