"Music is a spiritual expression of what's in your heart. Music as a way of getting rich is a pretty new thing, and I often wonder if the mega-bucks glitzy atmosphere is making the quality of music suffer. You have to work really hard to get around that and remember why you're in it in the first place: because you have to be. It's like an addiction. You can't go a day without picking up your guitar. To me, the only commercial goals that are really valid are, 'Boy, I wish I didn't have to go to work. I wish I could do this all the time."

Back in the saddle

posted 10:37 PM by the joker

Ok, im back in the blogging game.

Here is an update on my current status:

Name: the joker
Occupation: stockbroker/financial genius
Location: boulder, colo-fucking-rado
Thing that consumes most of my time: work
Relationship status: hopelessly single, not really looking, lusting after college girls
Living situation: House in south boulder, 3 roommates, 2 dogs, ghost of kitty
Ride: Honda element, aka Marco Esquandolas
Looking forward to: shows at red rocks this summer

So honestly, I have a lot of material, but I don't know if I have the time to write about all of it at once. So I am going to set the goal of writing 16 posts a month and be somewhat consistent. Slow and steady wins the race. I hope you like what you read and come back often. Much thanks to my buddy Pauly for inspiring me to get back in the game and get off the bench.
