"Music is a spiritual expression of what's in your heart. Music as a way of getting rich is a pretty new thing, and I often wonder if the mega-bucks glitzy atmosphere is making the quality of music suffer. You have to work really hard to get around that and remember why you're in it in the first place: because you have to be. It's like an addiction. You can't go a day without picking up your guitar. To me, the only commercial goals that are really valid are, 'Boy, I wish I didn't have to go to work. I wish I could do this all the time."

Secret Ingredients

posted 11:39 AM by the joker

The brownies I ate Saturday night made for a very interesting evening. There were the sing-alongs with the guitar. There was the fun walk down to the Mobil station at 1am and being able to catch some skinamax through a neighbor's window from the sidewalk. But really, my favorite part was just sitting on the street corner, watching the world go by, and giggling with my 3 friends about the music we could imagine the drivers of passing cars were listening to. I can't remember the last time i had so much fun on a street corner in my neighborhood. "Havin' a good time...Livin' the moontime", indeed.

Is anyone out there a fan of astrology? I am becoming more and more a fan of it. If anyone is into charts, i was born on 3/11/76 in Waco, TX at 7:35 AM. Last weekend I went to a special Scorpionic Zodiac birthday party...everyone wore nametags with their sign and which signs they were compatible was pretty fun. I think the personality trait/compatibility of signs is very interesting in general. I also am amazed that astrology is relatively popular, yet it does not seem to have a central governing body, and also seems to not have any central messages or a main book similar to the Bible or Torah, least that i am aware of. Its interesting to me that astrology is (supposedly) ancient, yet there doesn't seem to be any major wars fought over it, like the Astrologers aren't bombing anyone in the West Bank...but i digress. Astrology is fun, im looking for my Scorpio. Where are you, Scorpio? Or a Cancer, that would be ok too.
